• Hi, I am new to WordPress and blogging in general. I am trying to get an adult blog off the ground but I am having a heck of a time getting porn videos to embed in posts. I tried using vodpod but apparently it won’t let you use “inappropriate material.” Is there a plugin I need? Is there a back-door method to getting these videos to embed (from tube sites like pornhub, videos, etc)? Do I just need to download and host the videos myself? Could it have anything to do with the theme I’m using? PLEEEEEASE HELP! I’ve been trying to figure this out for too long.

    P.S. I know how to embed YouTube, Vimeo, etc videos. It’s porn vids I’m having trouble with.

    If they have an embed code, switch from visual mode to HTML, paste it in, and off you go.

    That said, I don’t know if any of them let you do that, since the legal ramifications of the underage would be best avoided.

    Yeah, that just doesn’t work. It works for YouTube and Vimeo, but not for porn. Most adult tube sites do provide embed codes, but they just aren’t working. From what I can gather from the codex, videos that are not from the big sharing sites (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) can’t be embedded right out of the box. I’m guessing I need a plugin or a backdoor but I’ve been so far unsuccessful.

    www.ads-software.com sites won’t restrict what you can embed, so if it’s not working, then it’s the embed code, not WP.

    Mind you, I’m not going to test that out for you ??

    I’m not suggesting that www.ads-software.com is restricting content. I am rather suggesting that, out of the box, www.ads-software.com does not have the capacity to embed any and all videos on the internet. There are only a select number of video sharing sites that work out of the box. My question is, what do I need to do to expand that list (specifically to adult content from the big tube sites: PornHub, RedTube, XVideos, etc.)?

    No. It can embed anything. I did a spot check on a random site and so long as you have the full embed code. That said, I’m fairly sure none of those places actually permit that.

    Embed code looks like this:

    <iframe class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="385" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VIDEO_ID" frameborder="0">
    </iframe>

    Or from CBS:

    <embed src="https://www.cbs.com/thunder/swf/rcpHolderCbs-prod.swf" width="370" height="361"allowFullScreen="true" FlashVars="link=https://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4633176n&releaseURL=https://release.theplatform.com/content.select?pid=PbSObMmH5O3bKAdqlC4cAeLMjChewivW&partner=newsembed&autoPlayVid=false&prevImg=https://thumbnails.cbsig.net/CBS_Production_News/896/822/60_Race_1125_480x360.jpg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="https://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />

    Both work out of the box.

    Ergo – You got bad embed codes ??
