How to embed flv video into a WEB PAGE not a post for beginner.

  • How to embed .flv video into a WEB PAGE not a POST for beginners who don’t code. I have tried to use plugins, but once they’re installed, I can’t. The videos are in my WordPress image library. I tried a video tutorial, actually very well done. But she was putting the video into a BLOG POST not a WEB PAGE.

    I am using the Visual Editor plugin to build my pages. I tried her code from Kimili inside the editor, all I got was the code over the background of the page. When I tried it using the normal text editor that I’ve used before for blog posts, I had a video that showed only the top 10% of the images and lost the rest of the design on my web page. I tried changing the size according to the instructional video, but it did not change the problem with most of the video being lower than the box that it’s in.

    I’ve been told by web page developers that WordPress is a particularly difficult host to use. But I keep trying.

    So if you can help, please use clear, concise, step by step instructions for people like me who don’t know your jargon. (Hey, I do it for my customers. Federal Government jargon is almost as bad as coding jargon)

    What do you mean as “the code”, can you post here an example of the code you want to use? Remember to wrap your code in backticks.

    I’ve been told by web page developers that WordPress is a particularly difficult host to use. But I keep trying.

    Are you using WordPress as a host? That means you’re using WordPress.com and you need to ask for support on WordPress.com’s forums instead.

    Okay, first, I’m using WordPress.com to make a web page.
    Second, I want to put the .flv file on a web page.
    Third, I found forum topics on this and they all seem to be closed or in several cases, years old.
    I am not a coder. I believe this is code?

    and
