• Hello,

I used to embed html to use google maps using an HTML bloc of wordpress like this :

It has not been possible for me so far on the main page using mesmerize : if I try to edit with main editor it seems that I may loose everything.

“This post was previously edited in Customizer. You can continue in the Default Editor, but you may lose data and formatting.”

Is there a way to add html code in mesmerize without loosing all my hardwork ? Or any other way to insert a google map ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

You can create a shortcode wrapping that html with https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/shortcoder/ plugin and you can insert a custom shortcode.

Please see this short tutorial on how to create a shortcode and how to add it in the Customizer :

Also you can use for example the contact section where you are able to insert a shortcode in order for your custom HTML code to be displayed.

Thanks a lot for this tip, which I believe can be a way to do it.

Nonetheless, I’m surprised that such a simple thing as adding formatted text needs an extension while wordpress allready handles most of it natively : if I had a text element in Mesmerize front page all I can get is a choice between H1 to H6 possibilities, with no personal choice of color, size, font…

Is there a way to secure mesmerize edited content while using wordpress editor again ?

    Hello,

I did try shortcode plugin, and it seemed great; I could install it and create a shortcode, and then I tried to insert a short code on my main page : I couldn’t get a short code, all my possibilities where link / button / heading / lead / paragraph / image.

On your video, I can see that “shorcode” element is available after “image”, why isn’t it showing on my website according to you ?
