• Hello There,

I am new to wordpress and virtue theme. I am using the free version of the theme. I am trying to create a portfolio with multiple other portfolios embedded in it.

For Ex: This is a travel blog. I have set “Destinations Page” as portfolio grid. each portfolio will represent a continent. What i want is when i click on each portfolio (Continent), it will have multiple portfolios embedded in it for each country. When i click on “country” portfolio i can have portfolios for different states…so on and so forth

Is it possible to achieve with virtue theme?

    thank you for your help

  • Not really, at least not natively, you can code in your own hierarchy but the portfolio post will work like a single post. You can create a custom grid that links to portfolio type archive pages then it would show you that archive of portfolio posts but that would only be one level deep and it sounds like you want 3 or maybe 4 levels of navigation before you get to the actual post.

So in sort it’s not possible without some extra coding.

    Thank you for your reply.

I have one more question: Is filter option available for portfolio grid page in free version of virtue?

Below is the example i am talking about where one can select portfolios based on photography, design and video

Sorry no, it’s only any option in the premium version. You can see the differences between the premium and free demo. Also there is a list here: https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/virtue-premium-features/

Not Kadence, but I believe there is one kind of “filtering” available for portfolio grid pages in the free version.
You can “filter” on “Portfolio Type” (sometimes called “Portfolio Work Types” in dashboard). It may not be flexible enough for your case, though.
