How to embed video in 2.6

  • I need help from you all. Keep in mind, I’m not a programmer. I have no idea how to write PHP.

    I just upgraded to 2.6 and I like what I see. I watched the video on the development blog and I wanted to post it to my blog to show my family (it’s a family blog) what some of the new features can do. I copied and pasted the code beneath the video as I was instructed to do. I assumed I put it into the body of my post, but after doing so all I can see is the code. No video. I’ve been trying to find something to point me in the right direction but I’ve had no luck.

    So, help! What am I doing wrong? Maybe there is a plug-in I’m supposed to have?

    Nevermind. My problem was I was posting the embed code in the visual option of the writing page instead of the HTML option. When using the HTML option, everything works as it should.
