How to embed videos?

I’ve recently converted to Clean Retina and I like it a lot. Before I was using BuddyPress which has groups and forums. When I pasted the URLs for videos in those posts the actual video would be displayed instead of the url, it was embedded. I would like the same effect in Clean Retina. Is this possible? I didn’t have to do anything special before.
