How to embed youtube video to my blog? Does it need outgoing connection allowed?

    HI, I want to embed youtube video to my blog. I’m not being able to embed it when i paste the youtube video link to page or post. It only show the text link.
    DOes it need outgoing connections to be allowed or not?
    what might be the problem?

    If it makes a link, try, in the Visual editor, clicking on it and using the ‘break URL’ icon on the tool bar, so it’s just plain text. See if that works.

    I want to make youtube videos to be played in my blog posts but not just link to youtube. How do i do it? Please help me out.

    san, please follow these directions:

    Iin the Visual editor, clicking on the LINK to youtube and use the ‘break URL’ icon on the tool bar, so it’s just plain text. See if that works.

    If not, try putting it in like this: [embed]https://youtube.com/whatever[/embed]

    You may need to force it to be plain text.

    I solved it . thank you . I just install smart youtube plugin. thts good.
