How to enable Breadcrumbs in Magazine Basic

    I’m happy with Magazine Basic theme. Kindly tell me how to enable Breadcrumbs in this theme.

    Actually it doesnt look like it has breadcrumb functionality included in it!

    Hi Kevin,

    On the Magazine Basic support forum in a reply to the same question c.bavota has given a php script. WordPress SEO Yoats has the same php code. It is true that the functionality has to be included in the theme.

    I am averse to adding plugins as I was stumped by ‘Account Suspended’ due to high CPU usage. Website is on shared hosting. I was told to keep minimum plugins and monitor with Gtmetrix.

    Then this site will help you in creating one without plugin. Simple steps but take care while modifying it ??

    It is so nice of you to reply.

    I found out that I had actually enabled breadcrumbs, but below the footer.
    I could do the re-positioning so is it shows elegantly where it should, at the top.

    I wish to have look at the site you recommended. My internet connection is at present is slow.

    If it is possible, may I ask you to have a look at that site. I will appreciate your suggestions related to ease and quick navigation for a lay person and anything else that you may like to suggest.

    I’ll keep my comments straight forward for you, so you could analyze and check if you need those changes or not and do the same!

    1. There are three search boxes in your site, which is not good
    2. Dont keep the contact form on the home page, but you could move it some other page!
    3. Have a color palette, 2-3 colors fixed for your site, which makes the site attractive looking.
    4. Do change the font, its kinda puts of the content
    5. The site looks little cluttered with a lot of stuff on home page, which it becomes hard for the reader to find what he/she wants
