Can you provide a link to a working example of the type of tabbed site navigation? Just to clarify with forum volunteers what you want.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your super quick response. Below is the demo link of the Voyage theme, please check the right side widget area “Site Navigation”.

That looks pretty cool. I’ve had a look through Voyage’s documentation and can’t find anything on it.

Until the theme’s vendors, or someone more knowledgeable than me posts, could you try a plugin that achieves this? https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-ui/screenshots/

The feedback on this plugin from bloggers is not very nice with WordPress 3.5 so I think we should wait for theme author to comment on this and provide some valuable guidance.

There is widget called Navigational Tabs (Voyage). It comes with Voyage Theme. Just drag from Available Widgets area to the sidebar you choose.

I will provide additional options to customize the widget after New Year.

Please let me know if I answered your question.

Thank you scui2! The widget worked like a charm in the right sidebar but did not work properly in the footer.

To describe the issue, I added the widget in the footer widget area with Category and Archives but when I click on Archive it doesn’t change the view to Archive.

    Happy holidays!

I know your issue. You have two Navigation Tab widgets (one in sidebar and one in footer.

I made the new version of widgets.php to allow multiple instances.

If you prefer, you can download it here and replace the one in wp-content/themes/voyage/inc/

    Widgets.php

Let me know if it solves the problem.

    Happy holidays as well.

Please note that the file is zipped and you will need to unzip it and FTP to the server (or whichever way you are using).

Thank you Stephen, that resolved the issue.

    Just couple of suggestions:

    1. The footer Navigation Tab widget has no colored dot for listing unlike the sidebar Navigation Tab widget. You can check that at sumitgoel.me what I mean.

    2. The ability to order the tabs, it seems right now tabs are hard coded to appear at first, second, third and forth place.

Again great job on theme. Wish you a very happy new year!
