How to Enable/Disable Comments on a Single Page/Post

  • I just upgraded to 3.6.1, and I was trying to find the checkbox for a page/post to enable or disable comments for that post. Anybody know how to do that now? I don’t particularly want to have to change the column in the database directly. Surely there must be a checkbox per page/post somewhere.

  • Yes, look under Quick Edit for each page/post – there’s a checkbox for “allow comments”

    Yes, thank you.

    I also discovered that if you click the “Screen Options” tab at the top of the page, there is a “Discussion” checkbox that needs to be checked, in which case, a Discussion panel with “Allow comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page” appears on the main Edit page as well.
