How to encrypt or not save credit card number in submissions

I’m running WP 4.4.2. I have a form that collects credit card information, but I don’t want the credit card number to be stored in the database or be visible to any WP admin in the Submissions area. Is that possible?

Any reason you are not using a payment gateway add-on for Ninja Forms like PayPal or Stripe?
Then you would not have to store any credit card information in the form submission custom post type.
