How to encrypt smtp password

  • Hi,

    I am trying to setup the WordPress SMTP Plugin and find the note regarding the SMPT password: This is in plain text because it must be stored encrypted. For more information, click here.

    I would like to see the additional infos but when I “click here” I just got returned to the regular settings form.

    I cannot find any hint about how to encrypt the password. Any hint would be much appreciated.
