  • Hello @sq7acp

What you need to do is to adjust the auto-resize feature before uploading your photos or disable the automatically resize setting on NextGEN Gallery.

You can find that setting on Gallery > Other options > Automatically resize images after upload.

Of course, you will have to re-upload the photographs to the desired size, please, take into consideration that there are some limitations, feel free to check this documentation link: https://www.imagely.com/docs/image-sizes-and-resolutions/

    We hope that this helps!

Is this option taken into account in future updates without re-uploading photos? I have over 2000 ??

There is only a close option when you hover the mouse over the photo, it’s a shame you can’t enlarge the photo to its original size. Does this option option require a lot of code changes?

Well, if the “Gallery -> Other Options -> Image Options -> Backup the original images?” used to be enabled at the time when you have uploaded your galleries’ images, you can access, “Gallery -> Manage Galleries” check the gallery(ies) that you want to modify then select “Recover From Backup” from “Bulk Actions” and press “Apply” button.

This should allow you to restore the full size images using the backup (original) images and respectively allow you restore to bigger sized images ( if such available ) without having to re-upload the images.
