How to ensure ONLY the homepage is getting indexes?

  • I have all the category and tag set as NOINDEX. I would assume that none of these links would be showing on google. However, these links are accesable on google when searching my keywords.

    For examples

    mydomain/category/uncategorized/

    mydomain/tag/tincidunt/

    How should I properly configure the settings to disallow all these links from indexing on google? And, I would like all these links to go direct to the error 404 page or redirected to the homepage itself?
