We enter a lot of manual orders on our site for sales made in our physical shop and the prices are slightly higher than if bought through the site.

I’ve only just updated WC from an older version. We’re struggling to work out a way to make our invoices (Print Invoices & Packing Lists extension) print the right prices/taxes now that we’re not able to manually edit every field.

We work entirely in prices inclusive of UK VAT.

Is it possible to do this in the back end? For example, if we have physically sold an item for £20 inclusive, is there any way of providing that number and WC calculating backwards to set the line item price to, in this case, £16.67 + £3.33 taxes?

Or do we really have to calculate all our net prices backwards just to get WC to calculate them forwards again?

    Hope that makes sense!

    Thanks,
    Nik

In the backend you have to do it excl. vat. There are simply too many rounding abnormalities to do it inclusive in the backend in a consistent manner.

If you add products to an order via the buttons, it will do this for you.

OK so, in order, I would need to –

    – Add the product to the order as normal (which has the ‘online’ price already filled in, excl tax)
    – Work out the new/higher excl vat price and enter it in both price boxes and save
    – Hit Calculate Taxes
    – Hit Calculate Total

Is that the way with the least number of steps possible?
