How to exclude a given page in the new “Pages” widget

    You should be able to alter the query vars being used to include the “post__not_in” query var which excludes listed posts. This can be done through the “pre_get_posts” action. The challenge will be distinguishing this one specific query from all others passing through this action hook. Often there is some unique set of query vars that could be verified.

    Thanks for the answer, but I would prefer the widget to have this functionality.
