How to exclude specific posts from showing up in related posts?

  • Hey everyone!

    So I just got the plugin and its great but I have a few posts that I would like to exclude from showing up in the related posts.

    The posts that i dont want showing up I already use a plugin wp hide post so its hidden everywhere but the home page.

    Now I made a new category just for the posts that i don’t want showing up.. and put all of them into that category.

    On this plugin I went to exclude category and selected the one I did not want showing up.. i figured this way all the posts in it would be excluded but they still show up for some reason… anybody know how I can exclude these posts from showing? I only have 3-4 of them.

    Ok, maybe it was just a few of my articles that had the posts that i did not want in related posts not sure how that happened. Anyway, figured out the orange edit button allows you to pick which posts you want to display.

    Im still curious though, in order to exclude posts from automatically showing up.. i make the category and i put them in there and then select exclude correct?

    As you have already noticed, you can edit the post via the “Edit Related Posts” button.
    And sadly, at the moment this is the only option to achieve what you are trying to do. With the “exclude category” you only tell our plugin to not put posts to those posts in the excluded category.
