How to exclude sticky posts from grid layout?

  • Need help with how to exclude the 3 sticky posts in my slider, from the grid below.

    As you can see at https://www.mariewise.com/ I have 3 sticky posts in the slider. They work just fine. But below I have a grid of all the posts that are not sticky, and the 3 sticky posts display there again which is redundant. How do I get them to not display there? Thank you for any assistance.

    I figured it out. I had to create a new category. I called it ‘Featured’. Then I added each sticky post to that category.

    Then in Appearance/Theme Options I set Portfolio category to ‘Featured’, and checked ‘Exclude Portfolio Category’.

    Voila https://www.mariewise.com/.
