I’m trying to find a way to Export my WordPress post, and the images on them.

I need the images to be physically downloaded so when I import those post in a new WordPress installation it knows where to find them, and not like the traditional method that will try to connect to internet and find them “somewhere” that wont work as in both cases, my original website and the place where I need to move it, will both be off line.

I guess I could just move the “uploads” folder, but I had problems as the XAMPP I’m using aren’t installed in directories with same name in both computers, and apparently that was a problem.

Hope there is something around that can do this. Thanks.

You could setup a backup plugin like backwpup and then create a backup. That creates something that you can restore that includes the images as well as the all the posts etc.
