how to extact images from gallery acccording to attibute

Hi!
maybe someone has an idea –
At the front page I going to present my images not acording to a certain order, on purpose,
but I need the ability to extract whenever I need a group of photos according to a certain attribute that they have – like “all anumals images” or “all vehicle images”,
Is there any plugin that has the ability to “tag” an image so I don’t need to create a gallery for all mixed images for the front page, and still use the same images sorted according to a content tag when I need to display the images according to groups?..
