This is from a forum message six months ago from @marcofama that was marked answered, but these questions weren’t answered, and I share them:

… how would you fill those metadata?

Do Title, Description and Password, for example, apply to everything? I mean… why doesn’t it get the metadata simply from the exported values? Do you have any examples to guide users to this process?

I see for example a “Unique key *” mandatory field, what the heck would this be? ??

Or how would I import the images from the other WP instance?
To give you a complete picture, I’ve used the “Export media with selected content” plugin to create the XML I’m trying to import using this plugin.

Sorry for the newbie ones, not entirely a newbie in the field honestly ?? but never had to deal with such things before.

Thanks, I’d appreciate your time and response

    Take care,
    Marco`

    Hello @jefemcmahon,

Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry for the late response due to the Diwali holidays.

All your questions are answered below.

    1) How would you fill in those metadata?
==> The plugin supports drag and drop. You can fill in the metadata with drag and drop.

    2) apply to everything?
==> yes, the drag and drop applies to everything in import.

    3) why doesn’t it get the metadata simply from the exported values?
==> Can you please provide the file which you are trying to import? so we can check it, and guide you.

    4) Do you have any examples to guide users for this process?
==> Here is the detailed documentation on how to import XML and CSV files and fill values in metadata, title, description, etc…

    5) What the fuck would this be?
==> This is a unique key that has to be added by you, and the unique key is the identity of your Import.

If you have any other questions and difficulties please contact our website so that we can resolve the issue faster. We will soon create video documentation about the whole plugin setting and import.
