    Hello!
I am using a plugin that embeds YouTube videos via a shortcode. In this case, not the link is used, but only the video ID.
    Example:
    [video_lightbox_youtube video_id = “G7z74BvLWUg” width = “640” height = “480” anchor = “click here to open YouTube video”]
But in this case Broken Link Checker does not find broken links. How to solve this problem?

  • Hello @asderbase !

    Hope you’re doing well today!

I’ve checked the WP Video Lightbox plugin along with Broken Link Checker and got a similar result as you’ve mentioned.

I tried also with the Settings >> Link Checker >> Which links to check >> Plaintext URLs and Embedded YouTube videos (old embed code) options selected, however this didn’t give any results as well.

Looks like the shot code method is preventing the YouTube links to be checked by the Broken Link Checker.

I will create an improvement task for our team to request adding a feature to check also the video links added by this plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Pawel

    Hi @asderbase

    You are welcome,

I am afraid we can’t give an estimated time to release the feature but we already sent the request to our developers.

We are marking this as resolved, but feel free to ping us any time you need.

    Best Regards
    Patrick Freitas
