How to fix a plugin?

  • Hey guys, I’m completely new to WordPress and the community.
    I’ve recently downloaded a plugin to use on a project we’re using WordPress;
    Sadly it is broken :-(,
    I believe that the plugin is discontinued though I haven’t contacted the plugin owner to verify that yet.
    Is there a way to fork the project? Or perhaps fix the master branch?
