    When we look at Marketing > Google Listings And Ads > Product Feed we can see errors due to poor setup. So I am asking where does the mapping happen? In the past a plugin like this required mapping to happen so that you can reduce errors.

    In one case I am looking to add age group to fix the ‘Missing value [age group]’ error.

    Is this a case of adding an attribute with the name exactly ‘age group’ ?

    I’d like to understand how it works. TY

  • Hi @landed. I’m having trouble visualizing the issue you describe. Can you post a screenshot of where you’re seeing this error? If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few options:

    * https://snipboard.io
    * https://skitch.com/
    * https://getcloudapp.com/
    * https://awesomescreenshot.com/

    There is also a walkthrough guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

    Thanks!

    I thought you guys were happiness engineers…

    just want to reduce the errors given and some kind of insight into how you deal with mapping the information into a feed.

    I will do a screen shot if you must but 00

    Hello @landed!

    We’d be glad to help you handle the mapping and reduce the errors.

    We can provide you with better assistance when we have a good understanding of what you’re experiencing. Checking out what you’re seeing is pretty helpful, thus our request for a screenshot. I get doing this extra step might seem tedious but I trust it’d pay off.

    In an attempt to skip the screenshot step, let me try to reply to what I’ve understood the issue is, and please let me know if I’m getting it wrong.

    From what I’m seeing, this mapping is handled automatically by the plugin. There isn’t a setting to handle this right now, but there are a couple of requests to implement it. Adding your support there will push this feature to get implemented sooner.

    Thread two

    One option to achieve this is by seeing if extending the plugin via customizations is feasible. A developer would be of help with that, but the plugin’s source code is available for anyone to check out.

    In case you’d rather have a working solution, if this is for products, looks like our plugin Google Product Feed has this feature you’re looking for in it.

    Please let us know if these aren’t related to the problem you’re getting. We’ll be glad to assist you further. If they are, it’d be great if you showed your support to the ideas I linked before to get this implemented. We can also pass the request to the developers in that case.

    Hoping this is of help! We’ll be around.

    You pretty much got my question. I tried to vote for the feature.

    The reason I am here is because the quality of the data I feel is causing issues with not getting impressions so I want to get better quality out of the feed. Thus trying to address the warnings.

    I think if “age group” is added as an attribute in the woocommerce then it would be nice if this plugin picks this up by convention.

    I understand that this plugin is quite new and I hope that it develops I will do my part as a user in expressing my gratitude and in posting about my experience and needs.

    The other paid option you mention might be a good investment though I would want to try first.

    Hi @landed

    We appreciate your interest and suggestion for the plugin.

    >I think if “age group” is added as an attribute in the woocommerce then it would be nice if this plugin picks this up by convention.

    It would be great to have you add your ideas to the Ideas Board, which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements. If there are similar requests by other users, the idea will catch the priority of developers and it will be taken up for future updates.

    If you need something more immediate, I would recommend checking the options shared by @danae39 earlier –

    * Consider hiring a developer to add the customization you need on top of the existing plugin.

    * Consider using other alternative plugins like Google Product Feed that seems to have the feature you need.
