How to fix incl.VTA or not

    Hello everybody.

    I created my store few months ago, added a hundred products as I wanted and only now have I started to configure my taxes. Problem: woocommerce is lost.

    Let me explain: I chose to enter the prices including VAT, to display them including VAT in the shop, then when validating the basket, the price is displayed and in brackets is explained the rate and the amount of VAT . However, once the person has identified himself on his account, ALL the prices are updated on the site as if I had entered them before tax and they all take + 20% (for the example of France).

    To be more concrete: I put a product at 2,500 yen including tax, when placing in the basket it will be announced at 3,000 yen (as if I had announced it excluding tax). In addition, if I go to the product search, another item that I had set at 2,500 yen including tax also went to 3,000 yen displayed (although I have not yet put it in the cart).

    I deactivated all my plugins to find out if it could not come from there (except Flexible shipping, I’m afraid that this will delete my information).

    Help !

    Hi @momozaru,

    Thanks for sending over your system status.

    I checked this product https://momozaru.com/produit/one-piece-magazine-vol-10/ which is currently priced at ￥2,500 (TTC) and the same price should be reflected in the cart since you’re showing prices including tax in the shop, cart and checkout pages.

    Once I add the product to the cart its price changes to ￥2,778, as you can see here:

    Typically, issues like these are caused by a conflicting plugin or theme installed on the site. In order to troubleshoot this further would you mind taking the following steps?

    1. Temporarily switch to one of our default themes, such as Storefront to ensure that this isn’t a theme compatibility issue. Once you switch themes, can you check and see if everything functions as expected?

    2. If not, we also recommend deactivating all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if this resolves the issue at that point. If it does, then you would need to activate each plugin, one at a time, to see if you can find the conflicting extension/plugin.

    I switched the theme to storefront and deactivated the plugins except for Woocommerce but it didn’t change anything regarding the VAT issues.

    Regarding your exemple, I couldn’t reproduce that bug where the price would change from the page to the cart.

    While I was writing this reply I tried to change the shop’s address to a French one instead of our Japanese one, and asked to display the shop’s address as default.
    Somehow it seems to have fixed all of the issues, the correct tax amount is now correctly added or substracted depending on the shoppers address.

    I’m not sure why it fixed it, I suppose it could have been something else I did but I don’t think it was.
