    Hi Team,

I have a website that shows multiple meta descriptions on every page.

But I’m only adding the meta description and social descriptions on the Yoast plugin.

When I checked my website on the screamingfrog tool, found multiple meta-description issues.

I’m using “Discy – Social Questions and Answers WordPress Theme”. Is it caused by using this theme?

    How can I fix it?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @trainingsadda

Thanks for using Yoast SEO, and sorry to hear that you are noticing duplicate or multiple meta descriptions when checking the website via the Screaming frog tool.

I checked the website and some pages, but I could not find any duplicate meta description tag within the source code. You can also confirm this by checking the source code and by searching the <meta name=”description” within the source code.

In case if you notice a duplicate <meta name=”description” within the source code, we often see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @josevarghese

    The issue is resolved now.

I removed the SEO Settings from the theme itself. Now I’m using only Yoast SEO Settings.

By default my website theme has enabled SEO settings. So, I contacted my theme support and removed the SEO settings from the theme.

Thanks for your time and support.

Hello @trainingsadda I have the same issue, may i know how did you removed the SEO setting from the theme? Here’s the website that currently having an issue right now ?????????????

    Hello @betty23232

Remove the SEO settings from the theme itself. If you don’t know about it, then contact the theme owner for the settings.

    Thanks,
    Trainingsadda
