How to fix SKU with too many “-” dashes

  • I noticed that my variant SKUs have many dashes, e.g. 5869718383469-01-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1. Ideally the variants should have 5869718383469-01, 5869718383469-02, 5869718383469-03, etc

    How can I fix this?

    I noticed this happens with new products only. For the old products, I had regenerated the SKUs with 13 digits and they are all 13 digits like 5869718383469-01, 5869718383469-02, 5869718383469-03 etc. However, whenever I add a new product, the SKU that is auto-generated has these dashes. I have also set “-” as the separator for variant SKUs.

    this is a know problem with this plugin i have the same problem again i hope it can be fixed

    To troubleshoot the issue, I need to interpret the error on my end. I can’t tell why it’s happening. Please send at least a list of your plugins and let me know which theme you have installed. I will try to reproduce the error.
