    Hi all,
I am having trouble with my woocommerce shop page on my wordpress/elementor website. It is working fine for half the people accessing it but for the other half, it is displaying the “There has been a critical error on this website,” notification. I have tried changing some of the settings that I recently changed such as how many products per page and I thought this fixed it but the error message is still occurring for some people.
Can you please help me – I don’t know what else to try?
Also, please don’t suggest that I change my theme as it has taken me so long to build this website with the theme that I have. Willing to try anything else though to fix this problem! Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @laurenpiovesan!

I checked your site, and I see the error you are getting.

Have you made any recent updates?

This could be happening due to a conflict with your theme or with another plugin you have installed on your site.

I know you are skeptical about changing your theme, but we need to test it and check if it’s causing a conflict. But do not worry, you can create a replica of your site, using a plugin like WP Staging, to perform these tests without affecting your live site.

You can perform a conflict test by temporarily switching your theme back to Storefront, disabling all plugins except WooCommerce, and then check again if the message is still displaying. If that solves it, then re-enable all plugins one-by-one, until you find the one creating the conflict.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

If after trying that the issue persists, kindly provide us the following:

    • Your System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select ‘Get system report’ and then ‘Copy for support’. Once you do this, paste in here your response.
    • Fatal Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).
    • Let us know how that goes for you!

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
