• Hello everyone! I need to run a copy from a entire https website localy, but i cant login on it. Cant access wp-admin. Tried to force http with htaccess, but it is not working. Dont know if the file is correct. I can access the website normaly i Localhost. Only cant access admin area. The original site uses a plugin called LoginPress. Cant say if this is the problem.

  • Check your local sites wp-content/plugins for any plugin that might be forcing SSL – e.g. really Simple SSL

Best thing to do is just rename wp-content/plugins to wp-content/plugins.bak

    and login

    This will disable all plugins

You can then rename wp-content/plugins.bak to wp-content/plugins and reenable the ones you really need locally

@alanfuller no luck. It keeps redirecting to the https version in wp-admin url. Wasted almost two days with that ??

@alanfuller Just made it! Removed plugins folder and then returned it back. Thanks a lot!

Have you worked out what plugin was the culprit, just for information?
