I am trying to force trailing slashes on all the URLs on my site. While currently through natural navigation all URLs end in "/". I would like for it to function similar to this site so that even if the trailing slash is manually removed it reappears automatically when the page re-loads

Currently, in Settings > Permalinks my permalink settings are

    Post Name https://domain.com/sample-post/
(or Custom Structurehttps://domain.com/%postname%/, but on Saving Changes it just goes back to Post Name )

I also have Yoast and saw this https://www.wpcraze.com/enable-disable-trailing-slashes/ but my SEO plugin doesn’t have the Enforce a trailing slash on all category and tag URL’s option.

Is there a way to force this?

This is something that WordPress should automatically do, and it would be better to check that and see if it’s working.

Currently it’s not doing it. Where else could I check this?

I would ask in the general WordPress forum for problems relating to WordPress itself. There’s a greater chance of someone being able to help there.

To anyone who runs to this in the future and finds this post.

Besides having it set in Settings > Permalink as described in the original post

I needed to have it setup in Tools > Permalink Manager

In my case, I had Trailing Slashes set to Add Trailing Spaces, but I also needed to have Trailing Slashes Redirect turned on.
