• I have a domain name I purchased off site. I want to forward that domain to my wordpress blog. I enter my wordpress blog address in the forward column. When I go to my domain, http:/mysocalleddream.net it goes to the actual wordpress site, not my blog. I did not change anything in reference to the nameservers should I have done so? I read the help section of forwarding but I am still totally lost

You need to get the nameserver info from you host, then go your your domain provider and add it to your domain settings. It may take awhile to propogate once you do it but that is normal. Google doesn’t like forwarded domains.

what is your blog address ?

The current nameserver info listed now is the defualt nameservers godaddy automatically lists. I only purchased the domain. I do not have website hosting with anyone. I just want to direct the domain name to my blog.

Godaddy can help you with that. Basically you need to login to your godaddy acct, click on the + by domains, find your domain name an click the launch button. You can forward from there. If you have any problems or need help, the Godaddy techs are great. They will talk you right through it.
