The settings ask for a valid Google API. I have a Google API key for Google Maps and tried to use that but nothing happened in the settings page–it didn’t save or say it was set. Is there a specific Google API that is needed and where do I get it from? There is no information about that in the YouTube demo or the Installation instructions.

    Hi @sleeplessindc

Yes you would need to ensure that the Webfonts developer api is enabled for your api key or create a new key. Here’s how to get your Google API Key by creating a new key:

    • Visit the Google APIs Console.
    • Create a new project.
    • Select APIs Under the APIs & auth menu.
    • Turn on Web Fonts Developer API.
    • Select Credentials under the APIs & auth menu.
    • Create a new browser key and leave the referrer box empty.
    • Once you have an API key, you can enter it in the Google Fonts API Key text field on the “Advanced” settings page.
    • Once you have entered a valid Google API key this plugin will automatically update itself with the latest fonts from google.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you. I created a new project but where do I find the API & auth menu? Here is a screenshot of what I see.
