How to get author in wptouch

    Hii Guyes,
    I want to show the post coauthor & author in my home page of mobile website
    in home page i am fetching the post from the frature category it is in my web. but i didnt get the author in it plz help me
    my code is

    if(!empty($author)){
                        echo $author;

                      }
                            else{

                                 if ( function_exists( 'coauthors_posts_links' ) ) {
                                    coauthors_posts_links();
                                } else {
                                    the_author_posts_link();
                                }
