How to get AWPCP to use the new uploads folder

    I have the exact same issue and question as was asked here- https://awpcp14.rssing.com/browser.php?indx=61654454&item=4065
    but that conversation was resolved through private channels so that I have no answer.
    The issues is that even though I change the Uploads folder name to a new folder, it does not affect AWPCP using the WordPress Media Library in wp-content/uploads/.

    In the new folder that I wish to use AWPCP does create an “awpcp” folder which contains a “tmp” folder, but all the images are still sent to the default wp-content/uploads/ regardless of changing it in AWCPC settings, Media tab, uploads folder name. It is as if WordPress is overriding the setting and sending AWCPC uploads to the media library regardless of the designated folder.

    I have yet to add this to my actual site build until I can resolve this problem, but I am getting the same results on both a local test site running on my PC via Xampp and on another test site running on a server. Both sites are running WordPress 5.5, with AWPCP Version 4.0.16

    How can I get the alternate uploads folder to work?
