How to get data from data layer into GA4

    We’ve been using the GTM4WP plugin for a while now and have had it connected to GTM with a UA property. We use these custom variables in the data layer that the plugin provides: https://www.screencast.com/t/P0WgkWvSUBBy

    This is how we’ve had them configured in GTM to send to UA and it has worked great: https://www.screencast.com/t/jhNhLqfzM0

    The issue is that now we need to move to GA4 and we’re not sure how we can access or send those variables to GA4. The GA4 configuration tag does not include the “custom dimensions” section like the UA configuration variable does.

    So, how do we get these variables from the data layer into GA4?
