• Hi
I am having many troubles with wp installation. The info required is as follows:

Database name: type the name of the database to be used for installation.
Database Username: I got it from the provider
Database Password: I got it from the provider.
Database hostname: I got it from the provider

If I ask for database name to the provider, I don’t have answer. Apparently, I got an SQL database automatically from the system, but no name is visible.

    So, what to do?

    Thanks

  • your hosting is the only person who can give you that information.

I can help you with this, its not that hard, just depends on how you installed it in order to lead you in the right direction. It is a common issue easy to fix in most cases.

Sorry webmaster51 I am new in this

I have an MSSQL. And these are the names I got_

    Host DataBase
    Nome DataBase
    Login DataBase
    PassWord DataBase

    And access info_

    https://mssql.xxxx.it/
    Login DataBase
    PassWord DataBase

I have also names of DataBases of current web hosting site.

When I am including either MSS names & other related info into setting up mask of wp, I get access to database impossible.

If I include names of website databases, I get unknown database name.

I really don’t know how to proceed.

    Rgds

Most hosting companies include cpanel where you can install wordpress with one click. This makes it really easy to install.

Otherwise, your hosting provider should be able to help you out with this.

Are you using MSSQL or MySQL?
