How to get double opt-in for notifications?

Ok, I see,
We’re going to change checkboxes to radio buttons for comment form email notification options.

I try to explain it. In Germany it′s not allowed to use a single opt-in for email notifications. The double opt-in means, your plugin have to send out an email, where users have to confirm subcriptions by clicking a confirmation link. As an user, you have to confirm two times. Ones by checking the checkbox (it′s not allowed to check the checkbox by default) and an other by clicking this confirmation link. Next is, there have to an option to cancel this subscription.

In single opt-in modus, it′s possible for everyone to register every email-adress.

This is a three step process:

1) (exists) Unchecked checkbox to allow subscribe
2) (doesn’t exist) Subscription confirmation email
3) (exists) Unsubscribe options

The only step which doesn’t exist right now is the #2, we’ll work on that and add this as well.

Regarding to the #3:
There is a two way to unsubscribe
1) Using Unsubscribe link under “New Comment” notification Email for all.
2) And for the registered users there is a Unsubscribe link on a comment form in “Subscription Manager” area.
