How to get from the folder to the internet?

  • Hello, I having issues with getting WordPress from the folder to the internet. Let’s say for the sake of this issue i’m computer illiterate. The folder is still zipped, and I want to know how to unzip it. From there what else do i do? I primarily use Google Chrome for my internet needs. Please, please help me. It is very important to me that I learn how to use WordPress and use it quickly.

  • Hello, Just download winrar and then right click on your wordpress file then click extract you wordpress will be unzipped.

    just delete it from your server – no?

    Hi jaztheninja, have you been able to make any progress on this?

    Do you already have a hosting account? If you already have a hosting account then your web host may have documentation in their support center on how to install WordPress using the manual method. Most likely however they have a “1 click” installation method that doesn’t require that you configure any databases or upload any files, and that will be much easier.
