How to get plugin to retrieve a larger version of users's FB avatar.

    Hello,

    I am using the plugin to pull in members’ avatars from FB but the ‘full size’ avatar that the plugin creates (it creates a thumb and full version) is smaller than what I need.

    Is there any way to get plugin to create/crop a larger version of the member’s avatar from FB?

    (I checked member’s avatar size on FB and it is larger than what the plugin is creating, so it’s not that their avatars are small to begin with…)

    Hi Alex,

    Unfortunately, that’s not a plugin feature at this time – you’d need to look into the Facebook API documentation and find the proper calls to fetch various-sized images (probably via FQL), and do it in one of the plugin’s filters at login-time (or perhaps hire a programmer to implement it for you, if unable).

    Sounds good. Any plan to include that feature down the line?

    Just incase, is there not some height/width parameter written somewhere in your plugin that I can edit manually as a temporary fix? Right now, it crops all avatars to 180px, which makes me think there is a 180px setting somewhere in plugin… (or maybe that is happening on FB’s end.)

    No size param – it’s just the default size supplied by FB, tho I do know you can explicitly ask them for certain sizes. And yup, it’s already on my request/ todo list (for the premium addon) ??

    The premium addon already exists; I just meant that feature in particular has been requested, so once I do get to it, it’ll be in the addon.

    I bought the premium addon a while ago. I meant the feature update for customizing avatar size. ??

    Ah, gotcha ??

    mine inserts a 150×150 image. no idea wh but i cant reduce it so the toolbar takes up half the page.

    any idea how i can fix this?
