How to get posts by category, need help…

Using a catgeory template, get_posts or query_posts.

Hey esmi, thanks for the reply. You know, I actually have read through all those thoroughly and I’m still having some troubles so let me further explain what I’m trying to do:

I need to create a drop down that lists just the titles of all the existing categories. I’ve tried a million things to no avail…
