How to get rid of <li>?

    In my sidebar I’d like to show a Links widget. As soon as I add it to my sidebar there’s a “list dot” placed in front of “Links”.

    Some other sidebar objects had also a dot in front of them, but those i could remove. But with this one I don’t have any succes.
    Checking the codex i found this https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Template_Tags/get_links_list
    blockquoteAutomatically generates the <li> with an ID of the Link Category wrapped in an heading./blockquote.

    Is there a way to stop that? I’d like to have a heading without the <li>. What did I miss?
