how to get the correct links in approve comment emails with hide backend on?

Right now the approve comments email links look like this: wp-admin/comment.php?action=approve&c=96
instead of the new-admin with hide back end.
The approval person would find it easier if it was changed. Do I need to add the secret key somewhere, and if so, where?
