How to get the END of the URL – i.e. the part that changes depending on the post

    Hi, I want to know the tag used for getting just the END of the URL – i.e. the part in the URL that, for any category, changes depending on the post.

    E.g. https://www.website.com/category/post <– I need to know the tag used for getting “post” in this URL.

    I’ve looked in the tag index but it seems like none of the tags listed can do this directly.

    <?php $slug = basename(get_permalink()); ?>
