    Just insert the link in the post or page content as Patrick suggest at that link you provided to the plugin.

    So something like this when you write the post/page:
    <a href="https://www.thechallenge.net.au/Challenges/1000Steps/1000%20Steps.kml">1000steps</a>

    I tried that and it just creates a link to the kml file.
    So I don’t have a map, just a link to a kml file on line.
    ???

    Try to upload a file with a wellformed name and without a space in it…

    Ah yes that is the solution. thanks so much.
    But can you tell me why if I click on the placemark the balloon with the picture appears in a box with vertical and horizontal scroll bars?

    Does anyone know how to insert multiple kml files into the map?
    An example of the code would be much appreciated.
