Has anyone managed to get this plugin working with Redis? When I run it with Redis enabled the feed gets stuck at 33%.

I’ve seen comments here to flush the Redis cache to get it working, but when I try that manually while the feed is generating it still gets stuck at about 67% instead. The only thing that works is to disable Redis, then run the feed, the re-enable Redis. That’s not really practical when I want the feed generated multiple times a day though!

Any other tips or workarounds form anyone would be much appreciated.

    Hello,

We use redis but don’t have the issues you mention. The feed generations finish normally.

There are some problems that are probably related to redis, you can take a quick look at my recent thread here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/not-updating-feed-not-saving-option/

Which plugin you use for the caching? Maybe it is related to that and the way it handles redis caching?

    Hi Lyk,

Hmmmm that’s interesting if you are not getting any issues with Redis, and feeds are finishing correctly. We are not having any issues modifying options as you mentioned in your post, it’s just that the feed simply will not progress to completion. I can see the _temp XML file created in the folder as well but it is never completed.

We are using the free version of Redis Object Cache plugin, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/redis-cache/

Have you verified that the feeds never finish?

Cause if you have many products, the plugin will process them in batches. Thus a temp file will be created and it will take multiple cron run to finish the whole feed.

It would be interesting to try another plugin that support redis (like w3total cache) and report back
