How to hack plugin files through child theme?

We had to hack your plugin to make translatable some fields (“Slogan text”, “Message”, “Button text”, “Link Url”).

We modified the /wp-content/plugins/yith-topbar-countdown/templates/tcountdown.php directly but how could we rather do this through our child theme?
