How to Handle One Sport, Multiple League

Hi,
I have a basketball site I’m trying to build. It will cover one sport, but there will be multiple leagues (divisions). How can I handle individual schedules, standings, stats per each league/divisions?
It’s kind of related to https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/multiple-leagues-and-multiple-sport/ but I only have 1 sport.
