How to have a sticky post in a category?

  • I would like to have a sticky post – in a single category.

    I have seen one plugin which hasn’t been updated in quite a while – any suggestions as to how this can be done?

    It seems like it should be a simple thing to achieve, but… maybe not…

    Anyone?

    Thanks Joy – the plugin hasn’t been updated in about 3 years… so don’t hold out much hope for it working or working for very long…

    There are a lot of things that don’t change, so no updates are needed.
    You could try the plugin and if it does what you want, use it. If it doesn’t, you could modify it until it does. At least it gives you the solution of how to do it.

    I was just looking for the same thing, and believe me, you do NOT want to install a 3 year old plugin. It is a major security risk, and also it will eventually be removed from the WordPress plugins soon anyway.

    Anyone have any code to use for this?
