    Hello,

I’ve installed & activated your plugin but no options in the profile are displayed to hide info…

Do not understand how it works

Can you send me a screen shot of your profile? The one in the admin doesn’t have the settings, the profile view from the front end does.

I’m having the same problem, I’ve installed the plugin on a pretty clean test site but there’s no options showing in the members profile pages that I can see, can you tell me where I should be looking?

I found the option to enable profile privacy in the BuddyPress settings but still no options appear on the members profile.

Can you send me a screenshot of what you are looking at so I can see if you are in the right place?

Can’t you just tell me what I’m looking for?, I’m looking in quite a few places, all the BuddyPress drop down menus, the profile page, the profile settings page, the profile edit page, the members page. I can’t see the point in showing you screenshots for all those when I haven’t a clue which is the right place.

I’m going to start off with two things:

    1. I really appreciate you checking out the plugin. This plugin is free and so is the support. If you don’t like how the support is given don’t use it. I gain nothing from you using it other than the satisfaction that someone can gain something from it. To that end please be more respectful of my time and effort.
    2. Every installation of BuddyPress is different so me “just telling you” may not be helpful since it may not be there for one reason or another. Also, some people rename the different menu items that are used.

Now that is out of the way, have you looked under your settings tab? There should be a menu item called profile privacy that should have the setting in it. I am currently resolving a bug where the users still show up when using the AJAX search. That will be in a release within the next week or so.

Sorry I was a little grumpy there, please forgive me.

Yep, located and it’ working, thanks for your help.

If you take my advice I’d say on the introduction page that this creates a new a new “Privacy Settings” tab within the Profile Settings tab where users can select their options. It would say being called out like this again. Hopefully anyway.

No problem, the apology and feedback is accepted and greatly appreciated. I’m glad it’s working.

I am working on several updates one of which is a notification that explains things better.

I am also working on a premium version of the plugin with a bunch more features. This will allow me to provide more timely support and service as well as add new features in faster.
