Exclude Posts From Some Category ?

Hi, I just tried the solution from your link but now it doesn’t not show any post at all (I’ve have it configured to show only 1 post, the most recent) since the most recent post is from a excluded category…

This shouldn’t be happening, should it?

It’s happening because it does not exclude the category before the post is called by The Loop. To do that, place the following on a line just above or before The Loop starts in your theme’s index.php template:

<?php if(is_home()) {
query_posts('cat=-10');
} ?>

Change cat=-10 to the numeric category ID of the category you want to exclude, making sure to keep the ‘minus sign’ before it (note you can only assign one category to exclude in this way).
